Meet our new 4-H Club Coordinator
Posted 12/15/2016

Greetings and Happy Holidays, 4-H Enthusiasts!

My name is Kyle Yacobucci, and I am delighted to join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Fulton and Montgomery counties as your new 4-H Club Coordinator. It is an honor to be a part of this association, and I cherish the opportunity to give back to a program that so enriched my youth.

Growing up on a family-owned and operated dairy farm in Palatine Bridge afforded me the opportunity to engage with animals from a young age. I began my 4-H journey as an independent member around the age eight with the support of my mother, Deborah Yacobucci. I fondly remember my first beloved pet, a pygmy goat named G.G. (aka Glorious Goat) that would eventually become my first 4-H project. Over the years, I became involved with additional projects ranging from beef cattle to poultry. I also embraced several non-animal projects such as woodworking and scrap booking through joining the Mohawk Valley Midnight Riders 4-H Club. My involvement with these projects taught me responsibility, leadership and  many other skills from which I have benefited throughout life.

After aging out of 4-H, I continued my love of animals and agriculture with the help of my mother while attending college. To this day, I raise rabbits for both show and meat production. The knowledge gained from my humble beginnings in 4-H formed the building blocks to my success as a nationally competitive breeder of Havana & Satin rabbits, as well as, becoming a licensed judge with American Rabbit Breeders Association.

Outside of my involvement in 4-H, I hold a Bachelor's of Music in Oboe Performance with minors in Music History and Flute Performance from Nazareth College of Rochester, New York. I have a deep appreciation for the arts and still love to perform in the community when the opportunity arises.

With the skills and experience mentioned above, I intend to serve the 4-H Youth Development Program within Fulton and Montgomery Counties to the best of my abilities. I am eager to begin working with each and every one of you soon. Until then, enjoy the holiday season and feel free to contact me at the email address listed below with any questions you may have.

 Regards,

 Kyle Yacobucci
