4-H Tractor Safety Course
Posted 3/30/2018 March 30, April 2 and April 3, 2018, Youth Tractor Safety Course Washington County Fairgrounds, 392 Old Schuylerville Rd, Greenwich, NY 12834 The fee is $30.00 for enrolled 4-H members and $35 for non-members.For more information and links to registration and information: http://bit.ly/2DpwrEvOr Give our office a call if you have questions, 518/853-2135 The National Safe Tractor & Machinery Operation Program and ATV Safety Workshop educates participants about: risks of farm related activities, how to act safely in different farm work settings, identifying and correcting farm hazards to prevent injuries and illnesses, and how to obtain safety information about equipment that they may be operating. Youth 14 and 15 years old are required to have a Tractor and Machinery Operation Certificate when employed on farms and other agribusinesses that require operating equipment. Youth younger than 14 and working on the family farm or older than 15 are not required to take this course. All youth will receive a National Safe Tractor and Machinery Operation Program (NSTMOP) certificate after they pass the written and tractor operation tests taking place the last day of the course.
