The 4-H programs from Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Schoharie-Otsego & Fulton-Montgomery are once again offering a vegetable marketing project to 4-H youth in our region. Due to multiple changes to their corporation and the needs of our program, we have decided to part ways with the Golub Corporation and recreate the program in 2018.
With this recreation, youth will be learning entrepreneurial skills in conjunction with the programs base of the vegetable and horticulture projects. Instead of marketing produce to one company, youth will be able to come up with what market best fits their needs. An orientation is required for the project and each youth will need an adult gardening mentor. The orientation will be held at the CCE Albany County office in Voorheesville on Wednesday, Aprill 11th at 7pm. For those that are unable to travel to Voorheesville we will be working out a location to have a video conference at either the Schoharie County CCE office or another location. Information will be posted once confirmed.
Attached in the registration form. Please fill out the form and return to the 4-H office no later than Friday, March 30th.
