Attached is the registration form, SUNY Cobleskill photo release form and flyer for the Spring Livestock Clinic hosted by SUNY Cobleskill’s American Animal Producer’s Club. The 2018 clinic will focus on Dairy Goat, Meat Goat and Swine. The event will be held at the Schoharie Sunshine Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 21st, 8am-4:30pm. Please see the attached forms for additional information regarding the event. Registration is due April 9th, please see registration form for information on payment and mailing address. The 4-H programs from Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Schoharie-Otsego & Fulton-Montgomery are once again offering a vegetable marketing project to 4-H youth in our region. Due to multiple changes to their corporation and the needs of our program, we have decided to part ways with the Golub Corporation and recreate the program in 2018.

Thursday, February 15th 6pm in Room 111, Montgomery County Annex If you have never participated in 4-H Public Presentations before, only given one presentation before or need a little help to find a topic and get started, then this workshop would be for you! It’s never too early to start thinking about which topic you would enjoy talking about and what kind of presentation that you would like to give at this year’s 4-H Public Presentation Night on March 23rd. This informative and fun workshop is for both Cloverbud and regular 4-H members. The workshop will feature some tips about selecting a topic and creating a poster and/or visual aids. Youth participants will also learn the parts of a presentation and how to organize his/her thoughts. Each participant will gain some practice in speaking in front of others. There need to be at least 5 youth registered for the workshop, or it will be cancelled. To attend please RSVP to the 4-H Office by Tuesday, February 13th

POULTRY EXHIBITORS - all birds at least 4 months (16 weeks) old must be tested. This clinic will be held at the Fonda Fairgrounds from 4pm to 7pm on Monday, July 24th.

4-H Volunteer Meeting will be Thursday, July 6th @ 6pm in room 111 of the Montgomery County Annex building. All 4-H volunteers, leaders and interested parents are invited to attend. Highlights to include: program area updates, fair updates, community service, upcoming events and more!

This hands on clinic will be held at the Amsterdam Tractor Supply. Youth will learn about grooming, daily care, handling, breed identification, evaluating your stock and more. Attendance at Poultry & Rabbit 101 is not required.

4-H is the largest out of school youth organization in the United States with over 6 million youth members.
In the 2008-2009 program year, 7,523 young people ages 5-19 participated in 4-H programs in Fulton and Montgomery Counties with more than 200 volunteers contributing more than 42,000 hours in nurturing, caring relationships with youth.
A friendly reminder that the CCEFM office, including the 4-H office, is closed to the public on Fridays .The office is open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
